CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATION

Mother Velankani English School celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and joy on 14th November. The entire school campus was filled with colour and excitement as students arrived in beautiful party dress, ready for a morning full of fun, performances, and surprises.

The programme commenced at 10:30 a.m. with a solemn Prayer and Prayer Song, followed by the melodious Sarasvati Vandana, invoking blessings for wisdom and prosperity. After this spiritual beginning, the anchors introduced the day’s programme and warmly welcomed the gathering.

A special welcome was extended to our respected Principal, Mrs. Sweeta D’Souza, our Trustee Madam, Mrs. Mebal, all teachers, and the shining stars of the day—our beloved students. Their presence added grace and charm to the celebration.

The formal performances began with an inspiring speech by Shreya Miss, highlighting the importance of children and their unique role in shaping the future. This was followed by a graceful and vibrant Welcome Dance by Sneha Miss, which set a joyful tone for the event.

Adding motivation to the morning, Iram Ma’am presented the uplifting song “Aashayein”, inspiring students to dream big and never give up. The cultural segment continued with a meaningful Marathi speech by Bharti Miss, emphasising the essence of Children’s Day in our cultural context.

One of the highlights of the programme was an engaging Drama presented by the teachers and B.Ed. college students, based on the theme “Teachers and Students in the Classroom.” The humorous and thoughtful act brought smiles to everyone’s faces and showcased the bond shared between teachers and learners.

The celebration grew more lively with a Group Song followed by an energetic Group Dance, both performed collaboratively by teachers and students. These performances added a spirit of unity and festivity to the occasion.

To add an element of fun and interaction, exciting games like “Guess the Emojis” were conducted, creating a joyful atmosphere as students enthusiastically participated. This was followed by the most awaited moment—Dance Party for Students, where children enjoyed freely and celebrated their special day with full excitement.

Towards the end, the Vote of Thanks was delivered, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the event a grand success, including the management, teachers, students, and support staff.

The celebration concluded at 12:30 p.m. with happy faces, warm hearts, and unforgettable memories.

The Children’s Day programme at Mother Velankani English School beautifully reflected the love, care, and dedication the school holds for its students, making the day truly special and memorable for all.
