Celebrated on 26th January 2025
The Annual Day celebration of Mother Velankani English School & Junior College was held on 26th January 2025, marking another milestone in the institution’s journey towards excellence in education. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of our Chairman, Mrs. Tasha Mathew Dsouza, Vice Chairman, Mr. Deep Gabriel Murzello, and the Honourable Chief Guest, CA Bharat Doshi. We were also honoured to have Mr. Anilraj Rokde as a special guest for the evening.
The celebration began with a formal welcome address by the Principal, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished guests, symbolizing the beginning of a new academic year filled with knowledge and wisdom. The school choir then filled the air with a soulful rendition of patriotic songs, adding to the spirit of Republic Day celebrations.
The highlight of the evening was the cultural performances by the students, showcasing their talent in various art forms, including dance, drama, and music. Each performance was a testament to the hard work and dedication of both the students and their teachers, who have continuously nurtured creativity and discipline within the students.
In her speech, Chairman Mrs. Tasha Mathew Dsouza acknowledged the achievements of the students and emphasized the importance of holistic development, balancing academic excellence with extracurricular activities. Vice Chairman Mr. Deep Gabriel Murzello also shared his thoughts on the school’s vision of shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the future.
Honourable Chief Guest CA Bharat Doshi addressed the gathering, encouraging the students to focus not only on academic success but also on the value of perseverance, integrity, and social responsibility. He also appreciated the school’s commitment to fostering an environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.
Mr. Anilraj Rokde, in his address, spoke about the importance of character building and the role of education in shaping the future of young minds. He praised the school for its dedication to academic excellence and for creating an atmosphere where students are motivated to excel in every aspect of life.
The event concluded with the distribution of awards to the students for their exceptional performance in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities, followed by a vote of thanks.
