Examinations & Assessment
Understanding the examination method
School assessment, SSC and HSC examinations under the Maharashtra State Board.
School assessment · Classes I–IX
Classroom work, written assessments, projects and oral or practical activities support learning. The school issues the applicable class-wise assessment plan and examination timetable.
SSC · Class X
The State Board conducts the SSC examination. Written papers and internal, oral or practical components apply according to the subject’s current board scheme.
Junior college · Class XI
College assessments prepare students for the HSC curriculum through written work and the applicable projects, practicals and internal assessments. Obtain the confirmed schedule from the college.
HSC · Class XII
The State Board conducts the HSC examination. Theory papers and practical, oral, project or other assessment components depend on the chosen subjects and current board instructions.
IT & Computer Science
Technology subjects have their own theory and practical requirements. Confirm the current examination mode, paper structure and practical submission instructions for IT or CS; do not assume the two subjects use the same pattern.
