To promote creativity, environmental awareness, and the importance of recycling, Mother Velankani English School and Jr. College organized a “Best Out of Waste” Activity for students. The event aimed to encourage students to transform discarded materials into useful and decorative items while understanding the value of reusing and recycling waste.
Students enthusiastically participated in the activity by using waste materials such as newspapers, cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, ice cream sticks, old CDs, bottle caps, paper cups, and other recyclable items. With imagination and innovation, they created a variety of attractive and useful articles, including pen stands, flower vases, wall hangings, photo frames, decorative items, organizers, bird feeders, and eco-friendly crafts.
The activity provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their artistic skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Teachers guided and encouraged the participants, emphasizing the importance of reducing waste and protecting the environment through sustainable practices.
The creations were displayed in the school for appreciation, and the most innovative, neat, and eco-friendly models were recognized. The activity helped students understand that waste materials can be converted into valuable resources with creativity and thoughtful planning.
The programme concluded with an inspiring message encouraging students to adopt the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in their daily lives. The Best Out of Waste Activity was a great success and instilled environmental consciousness, creativity, and a sense of responsibility among the students.
