Introduction
The school organised Cleanliness and Hygiene Day to create awareness among students about the importance of personal hygiene, cleanliness and maintaining a healthy environment. The programme aimed to encourage students to develop good hygiene habits and take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean.
Activities Conducted
The programme began with a special awareness session where students were informed about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in daily life.
Students participated actively in a cleanliness drive conducted in the school premises. Classrooms and selected areas were cleaned under the guidance and supervision of teachers. Students were encouraged to use dustbins properly and avoid littering.
An awareness activity on personal hygiene was conducted, highlighting the importance of regular handwashing, bathing, wearing clean clothes, trimming nails and maintaining proper oral hygiene.
Students also participated in poster and slogan-making activities based on cleanliness, hygiene and healthy living. These activities helped students express their ideas creatively and spread awareness among their peers.
A handwashing demonstration was conducted to explain the correct way of washing hands and its importance in preventing the spread of germs and diseases.
The programme concluded with a Cleanliness and Hygiene Pledge, where students promised to maintain personal hygiene, keep their surroundings clean and encourage others to follow healthy practices.
Student Participation
Students participated enthusiastically in all the activities. Their involvement reflected their understanding of the importance of cleanliness, personal hygiene and responsible waste disposal.
Outcome

Conclusion
The Cleanliness and Hygiene Day programme was meaningful and successful. It motivated students to practise good hygiene, maintain cleanliness and become responsible members of the school and community.
